Boy, 14, dies after slipping off trailer truck in Pasig City

A 14-year-old boy died after slipping off the back of a moving 18-wheeler truck he had climbed onto and being run over along Elisco Road in Barangay Kalawaan, Pasig City, early Tuesday morning, April 8.

 

According to the Pasig City Police Station, the truck driven by Bienvenido Pancito Jr. was traveling along Elisco Road at around 3 a.m. when the victim, along with his friends, secretly boarded the back of the trailer without the driver’s knowledge.

 

Shortly after boarding the truck, police said the victim accidentally slipped and fell under the rear wheels and was run over.

 

Due to the serious injuries he sustained, the victim was declared dead on the spot at 3:48 a.m. by a responding city health officer.

 

Meanwhile, authorities said the truck driver was arrested for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and was brought to the police station for documentation.
