Perhaps, inspired by the rumors and the surprise drop of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Valve may have a thing going on for itself.
Yup, Half-Life 3.
Probably, maybe, hopefully.
The rumors of Half-Life 3 include of it being “playable, end-to-end,” might be announced later this year, and then launched a few more months after.
Of course, all of us should take this with one big sack of salt. But it’s still something interesting to entertain, considering how Half-Life is a thing of its own, plus the second game ended on a huge cliffhanger, which has made fans starved for a new entry. Not to mention, the game CS:GO, or rather, its predecessor, Counter-Strike, was actually a mod for Half-Life. We wouldn’t have CS:GO without Half-Life, is what I’m saying.
Rumors stemmed from Tyler McVicker, who has leaked past Valve projects, along with Gabe Follower, and Valve concept artist Evgeniy Evstratiy have made comments about the existence of Half-Life 3.
Of course, nothing is confirmed until Valve themselves make the announcement. Half-Life 2 was released in 2004, 20 years ago, and currently the big game Valve is working on is a hero shooter Deadlock.
So, I suppose we’ll have to wait in a few more months to hear anything about Half-Life 3.
