Villar, Revilla gather more endorsements from local execs as campaign enters final month

Administration Senate bets Las Piñas City lone district Rep. Camille Villar and reelectionist Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. continue to gather the endorsement of local officials all over the country as the campaign period for the May 12 polls enters its final month.
Villar and Revilla are both members of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas ticket.
Last week, Villar, a Nacionalista Party (NP) stalwart, held campaign sorties in several municipalities in Laguna.
Sison town Mayor Danny Uy, and mayoralty candidate, Danny Myrna Bell Uy, SINAG President Rosendo So, and board members, Louie Sison and Isong Basco, were among those who expressed their support for Villar before a big crowd of local residents . local residents, farmers, senior citizens, teachers and farmers, members of the various civil society organizations last April 3.
In her speech, Villar thanked Uy, So and the local officials for their outpouring support. She vowed to pursue more projects and legislation that will help the agriculture, poultry and livestock industries.
In Villasis, the House deputy speaker happily received the endorsement of Mayor Nato Abrenica, who cited her vast experience in public service and impressive background in the corporate world.
Abrenica believes Villar is fit to become a senator, as she has learned from the discipline, perseverance, and hard work shown by her parents, former Senate President Manny Villar and Senator Cynthia Villar, as well as her brother, Senator Mark Villar.
Mayor Dickerson Villar, of Sto. Tomas town, and Pozorrubio Mayor Kevin Tan also pledged support for Alyansa bet during the sorties in the province earlier this week.
Earlier in San Carlos City, Pangasinan Govenor Ramon Juico III and local officials also threw their full support for Villar’s senatorial bid
In all her sorties, Camille Villar outlined her platforms in helping boost agriculture and farming, improve housing and health services, and advance the welfare of women, youth and senior citizens.
Meanwhile, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) stalwart Revilla was declared adopted son of the Province of Capiz during the celebration of Capiztahan 2025, held on Sunday, April 6, in commemoration of the 124th founding anniversary of the Civil Government of Capiz.
The honorary title was conferred by Capiz Governor Fredenil “Oto” Castro, in recognition of Revilla’s unwavering support to the province and its people through the years.
Revilla’s hand was raised by Castro in a symbolic gesture to show their bond and gratitude, highlighting the support and pride of the people of Capiz. It was also during the event that the governor formally endorsed Revilla's candidacy for reelection.
During the 2019 senatorial elections, Revilla was among the top five candidates who garnered the highest votes in the province.
In his brief remarks, the senator expressed his deep gratitude for the rare honor. He said he was humbled by the gesture and reaffirmed his commitment to serving not only Capiz but the entire Filipino people with dedication and compassion.
The campaign period began last Feb. 11.
