His attendance at the 38th PMPC Star Awards for Television on March 23 at the Dolphy Theater further emphasizes his commitment to celebrating exceptional performers.

Taking center stage as a presenter, Mayor Mamay, alongside PMPC PRO Eric Borromeo and host John Nite, had the privilege of awarding the prestigious German Moreno Power Tandem Award. This year’s honorees were two of the most talked-about on-screen pairs — Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco. As the audience cheered, the actors expressed their gratitude to the Star Awards and their loyal fans.

He recognized JC De Vera and Janine Gutierrez as the Movie Loveteam of the Year for Bakit Di Mo Sabihin? His unwavering support for Filipino artists highlights his commitment to uplifting the industry.

As the Executive Adviser of the Actors Guild of the Philippines and the Showbiz Industry Alliance, Mayor Mamay extends his passion beyond award ceremonies. He is actively involved in film production, creating opportunities for actors and movie workers, especially during challenging times like the pandemic.

His dedication to storytelling is evident in his biographical film, Mamay: A Journey to Greatness, which chronicles his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to a respected leader.
