A 36-year-old man was arrested by the joint forces of the Tanay Municipal Police Station Tracker Team and Rizal Provincial Mobile Force Company (RPMFC)'s 3rd Platoon in Barangay Kay Buto, Tanay, Rizal on Sunday, April 6, for raping a minor 19 years ago.
The operatives identified the suspect as "Romano," listed as a Regional Level Most Wanted Person in Region 4-A (CALABARZON).
Romano was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued on Nov. 13, 2009.
Based on the police report, Romano raped the 14-year-old victim on Sept. 12, 2005, when he was 17 years old.
Romano is currently detained at the Tanay Custodial Facility and is facing charges for violation of RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) and RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law of 1997). (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
