Boy, 4, beaten to death by mom's girlfriend in Dasma

CAVITE – A four-year-old boy died after reportedly being beaten by the girlfriend of his mother in Dasmariñas City on April 3.

The victim, identified as alias Hiro, was reportedly left in the care of his mother’s girlfriend while she worked abroad.

A police report by the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station (CCPS) stated that the suspect, identified as alias Rochelle, had a drinking session with a friend at home on the evening of April 2.

A witness saw alias Rochelle assault the victim and hit him on the head, prompting him to cry out loud. Other residents of the house also claimed that the suspect had been physically abusing the child on several occasions.

At 3:30 a.m. on April 3, the suspect discovered the lifeless body of the victim.

Authorities arrested alias Rochelle, who will be facing murder charges.

The Dasmariñas CCPS has requested an autopsy examination from the Provincial Forensic Unit to support the ongoing investigation.
