1 nabbed, P408K worth of shabu recovered in QCPD buy-bust
The Quezon City Police District recovered over P600,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Batasan Hills on Friday, April 4.
The anti-illegal drugs operation was conducted by PS 6 in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) along Kalayaan B corner Kalayaan A, Barangay Batasan Hills.
During the operation, an undercover police officer acted as a poseur buyer and bought P12,000 worth of shabu from the suspect which led to his arrest.
Police identified the suspect as Joel Furog, 22, resident of Barangay Batasan Hills.
Authorities recovered from the suspect 60 grams of shabu valued at P408,000, a unit caliber .22 revolver, and two pieces of caliber .22 ammunition.
A cellular phone, coin purse, sling bag, and buy-bust money were also recovered from Furog.
The suspect will be charged for violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, R.A. 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and B.P. 881 or Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
