PlayTime shows support to WISAR Philippines with rescue equipment donation

PlayTime, a prominent brand in the online entertainment gaming industry, has extended its support to the Wilderness Search and Rescue Philippines Inc. (WISAR PH), a volunteer-based organization dedicated to disaster response and ensuring public safety.

This initiative was carried out through PlayTime's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, PlayTime CARES, which means Community, Action, Relief, Empowerment, and Sustainability.

In a turnover ceremony held on February 28, 2025, PlayTime CARES donated 25 sets of specialized floodwater rescue equipment to WISAR Philippines. The equipment, which includes headlamp helmets, life vests, water safety helmets, water rescue knives, throw bags, rescue tubes, and waterproof search lights, is enough to outfit three of WISAR PH's strike teams.

This contribution marks a significant step in enhancing the organization’s ability to respond to water-related disaster scenarios.

A day after receiving the donation, WISAR Philippines conducted a mountain search and rescue training, incorporating the new equipment in their exercises. The equipment was tested during a technical rope rescue simulation held on March 1, 2025.

Miguel Lazatin, Vice President for Administration of WISAR Philippines, expressed his gratitude, stating, “These rescue equipment sets will be invaluable, particularly during flood disasters, where adherence to strict safety standards is crucial. This donation directly supports our operations and enhances our readiness.”

Jay Sabale, Senior PR Manager of PlayTime, also highlighted the importance of this collaboration, “We have observed there is a shortage of rescue equipment by rescue organizations especially volunteer groups. PlayTime CARES is happy to support those who risk their lives to save others. Pati si PlayTime CARES, kasama niyo sa pag rescue at pag tulong sa ibang tao.”

PlayTime CARES continues to focus on impactful partnerships that contribute to community well-being, demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
