As far as former senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson is concerned, the person in Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas that's certainly affected by Senator Imee Marcos' departure from the slate is rap legend Andrew E.

Lacson made this comment in jest during the administration ticket's press conference in Antipolo City Friday, April 4--the first presser following Senator Marcos' decision to no longer join the administration ticket on the campaign stage.

The lady senator's move essentially cut the number of Alyansa "senatoriables" from 12 to 11.

"Labing-isa na lang kami but we still wish Senator Imee all the best sa kanyang campaign (We're down to 11 but we still wish Senator Imee all the best in her campaign)," Lacson said, his upbeat mood a tacit assurance that all is well within Alyansa despite the reduced membership.

"Ang mas may problema sa amin, si Andrew E (Andrew E is the one with the bigger problem among us)," he said of Alyansa's designated crowd pleaser and celebrity draw.

Lacson then gave a sample of his rapping skills, a la Andrew: "Pag sinabi ko Alyansa, sabihin niyo labing-isa (When I say Alyansa, you say eleven)." The audience laughed along with him.

The former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief was alluding to Andrew E's signature catch phrase during Alyansa’s campaign rally intermissions, which he now has to update.

When Senator Marcos wax still with Alyansa, the rapper used to say on stage: "Kapag sinabi ko labindalawa, sabihin niyo Alyansa (When I say twelve, you say Alyansa)."

The presidential sister felt compelled to leave the administration slate on the heels of former president Rodrigo Duterte's arrest by International Criminal Court (ICC). The lady senator criticized the administration of her brother, President Marcos, for allegedly "surrendering" Duterte to the foreign body.

President Marcos is the main endorser of Alyansa.

Alyansa campaign manager, Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco has said that they respect Senator Marcos' decision.
