The Quezon City government is offering over 11,000 job opportunities to residents at a Labor Day job fair on Thursday, May 1.
Nearly 100 private companies and government agencies are participating in the fair, which aims to help thousands of jobseekers find employment and build better careers.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte encouraged QC residents to seize the opportunity and join the city’s continuing efforts to empower its citizens.
"We invite all jobseekers, especially our QCitizens, to take part in this opportunity to jumpstart or advance their careers," Belmonte said.
She also emphasized the city’s commitment to inclusive economic growth through employment.
“Through this job fair, we are delivering on our commitment to create a city where every resident has access to decent, meaningful work. In Quezon City, we believe that employment is not just a livelihood—it is empowerment, dignity, and a pathway to a better future,” she added.
To streamline the application process, a one-stop shop for government services will be available at the venue, including assistance from the SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, PSA for National ID, as well as the NBI and PNP for clearance needs. A QCitizen ID booth will also be on site.
Among the participating private firms are Max’s Kitchen Inc., Robinsons Supermarket Corporation, Sanford Marketing Corporation, Super Shopping Market Inc., and Zest-O Corporation.
Open positions include office staff, cashier, driver, service crew, customer service representative (CSR), and more.
Applicants are advised to bring updated resume, valid IDs, and to dress professionally. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
