BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office-10 has deployed 400 policemen for election duty in the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO-BARMM).
They will serve as members of the Special Electoral Board (SEB), PRO 10-Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Joann G. Navarro said.
She said they have been prepared and trained to ensure the integrity and orderly conduct of the elections.
“This deployment reflects PRO-10’s commitment to uphold the integrity of the electoral process and assist in maintaining peace and order during the significant democratic exercise,” Navarro added.
In his send-off message, PRO-10 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman emphasized the importance of SEB in maintaining peace and order during the election process.
“Your role as Special Electoral Board is important in upholding the democratic rights of our citizens. As you serve in the Bangsamoro region, remember that your actions will reflect our commitment to free, fair, and peaceful elections. Let your loyalty lie only with the Constitution and the Filipino people.”
A send-off Mass and ceremony was held for the departing contingent at the PRO-10 regional headquarters in Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City.
The ceremony was attended by De Guzman and Commission on Elections-10 Assistant Regional Election Director Atty. Maria Dulce Cuevas-Banzon.
