K-series 'Weak Hero Class 2’ debuts at No. 1 on Netflix

The Korean series “Weak Hero Class 2” debuted at No. 1 on Netflix’s weekly Global Top 10 of the most watched shows and films on the streaming platform.

Season 2 of “Weak Hero” ("약한영웅"), which delves into school violence, stars Park Ji-hoon as Yeon Si-eun, Ryeo Un as Park Hu-min, Choi Min-yeong as Seo Jun-tae, Lee Jun-young as Geum Seong-je, Yu Su-bin as Choi Hyo-man, Bae Na-ra as Na Baek-jin and Lee Min-jae as Go Hyun-tak.

“Weak Hero Class 2,” released on April 25, premiered at No. 1 on Netflix’s non-English show list for April 21 to 27 with 6.1 million views.

It placed in the top 10 in 63 countries and territories, including garnering the No. 1 spot in nine: Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Bolivia and Peru.

In addition, “Weak Hero Class 1” is at No. 8 with 1.9 million views.

The Korean series “Heavenly Ever After,” starring Kim Hye-ja, Son Suk-ku, Han Ji-min, also made its debut on the Netflix chart at No. 5 with 2.9 million views.

“Resident Playbook” is No. 6 (2.1 million views), “When Life Gives You Tangerines” is No. 7 (2 million views),” and “The Haunted Palace”is No. 9 (1.4 million view).
