Barangay Ginebra vented its ire and mauled NorthPort, 131-106, up get back on the winning track in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup at the PhilSports Arena Wednesday, April 30.

The Kings were simply dominant right from the get go as they erupted for 70 points in the first half alone and then safely cruised to the bounce back win after they absorbed their first loss against the San Miguel Beermen last time out.
RJ Abarrientos orchestrated the attack with 27 points and eight assists to go with three steals.
Jayson David, who was added to the lineup just days ago after the Kings relegated LA Tenorio to the reserve list due to his Batang Gilas duties, proved to be a valuable addition with 25 points and nine rebounds.
Stephen Holt added 17 as Japeth Aguilar and Troy Rosario had 15 each. Jamie Malonzo added 14 for the Kings who improved to a 2-1 slate.
Ginebra came out guns blazing in the opening frame, firing 40 points against NorthPort which only managed 24. If that was not enough, the Kings further dominated both ends of the floor, limiting the Batang Pier to 19 while erupting for 30 in the second frame.
Firepower did not seem the problem as the Batang Pier still breached the 100-point mark although missing its best player in Arvin Tolentino was certainly a huge blow for NorthPort.
William Navarro had 19 points to lead NorthPort while Sydney Onwubere added 17 – both of which however were not enough to prevent their team from falling to its third straight loss for a 1-3 slate.
