Northeasterly wind flow to bring rain showers to parts of Luzon; hot weather to persist across the rest of PH
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, April 3 said the northeasterly wind flow and the easterlies will remain the dominant weather systems across the archipelago.
PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said the northeasterly wind flow will continue to bring cloud skies and light rains to Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Ilocos Region and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region.
Dominguez said hot and humid weather would prevail across the rest of the country, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
The public is urged to remain vigilant during severe thunderstorms, as these could trigger flash floods or landslides.
Dominguez added that PAGASA has not monitored any low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones near or within the country’s area of responsibility as of Thursday.
