NCRPO: Metro Manila's 2 most wanted 'sex offenders' arrested in Caloocan, Manila

NCRPO director, Police Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin
Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested two fugitives listed in Metro Manila most wanted individuals in a separate operation in Caloocan City and Manila.
NCRPO chief, Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin said both arrested suspects are currently under their custody and will soon be presented to the courts which issued the arrest warrants against them.
First to fall on Wednesday, April 2, was a 36-year-old man who is ranked as Metro Manila’s 7th most wanted for a case of statutory rape with no bail recommended. He was collared in Barangay San Marcelino in Ermita, Manila.
A separate operation on the same day resulted in the arrest of a 27-year old call center agent who is wanted for two cases of rape by sexual assault and is tagged as the NCRPO’s 6th most wanted with a recommended bail of P200,000.
He was collared in Barangay 176, Caloocan City.
"The successful apprehension of these high-profile fugitives underscores our unwavering commitment to justice and the rule of law,” said Aberin.
Since he assumed the top NCRPO’s post last year, Aberin prioritized the accounting of more wanted persons through regular follow-up and update of the status of those in the wanted lists.
Such focus led to the NCRPO obtaining a rare feat of arresting all those listed in the Ten Most Wanted List of Metro Manila in February in just a span of one week.
Aside from accounting the wanted persons, Aberin also instructed his men to ensure the strict enforcement of ordinances of all local government units in Metro Manila—the instruction led to the Metro Manila LGUs earning multi-million money as penalties paid by violators every month.
