More than P900,000 worth of shabu seized in Caloocan, Navotas buy-busts

Police seized some P957,916 worth of shabu in buy-bust operations in Caloocan and Navotas City on Wednesday and Thursday, April 2 and 3.

Operatives of Caloocan City Police District -Drug Enforcement Unit (CCPS-DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation at around 3:34 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, on Sta. Rita St. in Barangay 188, Caloocan City.

Police arrested a 43-year-old man, a resident of Barangay 188, after confiscating from him 85 grams of shabu valued at P578,000, a black coin purse, and the buy-bust money.

The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) also arrested a high-value individual identified as “Tyson,” 36, a resident of Barangay San Jose, Navotas City.

NCPS chief Col. Mario Cortes said the operatives conducted an entrapment operation on Gov. Pascual St. in Barangay San Jose.

Police confiscated from the suspect 55.87 grams of shabu worth P379,916, and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
