Michelin, the globally recognized tire manufacturer, has opened a new office in Manila, Philippines, taking a step toward deepening its presence in the country. Located at the Polaris Building within Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang, the new office is designed to bring the company closer to its customers and partners, and to better serve the needs of the local market.

Michelin’s connection to the Philippines dates back to the early 1990s. Since then, the company has expanded its footprint by working with five major importers to offer a diverse range of tire solutions, from passenger vehicles and motorcycles to trucks and specialized transport.

"We are excited to open our new office in the Philippines. We recognize the country’s strong market potential, and this move enables us to reinforce our partnerships, enhance customer support, and further establish Michelin as the preferred choice for mobility solutions in the region," said Jonathan Khong, Managing Director of Michelin Asia Pacific (Singapore) Philippines Branch Office.

The new office is expected to enhance collaboration with local partners by providing better access to tools, resources, and technical expertise. This, in turn, should help raise the level of service and support that Filipino customers receive, from purchase to after-sales care.

Aside from customer support, the office also reflects Michelin's broader goals of developing local talent. The company plans to invest in training and professional growth for Filipino employees, part of its ongoing push for sustainability and innovation wherever it operates.

By establishing a more visible and accessible presence in the Philippines, Michelin hopes to bring the brand closer to the people who use and rely on its products every day. That includes not just motorists, but also the many businesses that depend on transportation and mobility solutions.

"Our goal is to be a trusted partner in the Philippines, contributing to the country’s development and providing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. We are committed to building a strong and sustainable presence in the Philippines," Khong added.

Globally, Michelin brings over 130 years of experience in engineered materials and tire technology. Based in Clermont-Ferrand, France, the company operates in 175 countries and employs more than 132,000 people. Beyond tires, Michelin also develops connected mobility solutions and publishes the MICHELIN Guide, which highlights exceptional restaurants and hotels around the world.

With its new Manila office, Michelin is looking ahead and is committed to growing with the Philippine market, delivering better service and value to its customers across the country.
