Li Auto, a Chinese manufacturer renowned for its range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs), has officially launched in the Philippines through its local partner, HomeAuto Inc., under the name Li Auto Philippines.
Founded in 2015, Li Auto has prioritized family-oriented vehicles that emphasize safety, comfort, and convenience. By expanding into the Philippine market, Li Auto aims to engage with segments increasingly interested in electric mobility. The company views the Philippines as a promising market due to its growing awareness of EV technology and demand for modern, family-friendly transportation solutions.
Li Auto Philippines is launching with two models: the Li L7 and Li L9. Both operate on a REEV platform where the internal combustion engine serves solely as a generator to charge the battery, rather than powering the wheels directly. This configuration allows the vehicles to offer the benefits of electric driving while maintaining long-distance capabilities. Additionally, both models feature advanced audio-visual systems, autonomous driving sensors, and enhanced ride and handling characteristics.
Li L7
The Li L7 is a five-seat family SUV designed for spaciousness and comfort, creating a home-like atmosphere. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, powered by a dual-motor 4WD system that produces 449-PS and 620-Nm of torque. The L7 boasts a CLTC-tested range of up to 1,421 kilometers, depending on the variant. Three variants are available: L7 Pro and L7 Max, both offering a 1,360-km range with a 42.8-kWh battery, and the L7 Ultra, which provides a range of 1,421-km with a larger 52.3-kWh battery.
The L7 Ultra also includes a 15-inch rear entertainment screen, a 'magic carpet' air suspension, and enhanced autonomous parking capabilities. Common features across the lineup comprise intelligent driving aids, multiple camera systems, a suite of digital displays, and domain controllers powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon or NVIDIA chips.
Exterior color options range from standard tones like White and Silver Metallic to special edition finishes like Deep Green and Baby Blue. All models come with a premium suite of convenience features, including power footboards, a rear warmer/refrigerator, and massage seating options.
Li L9
The larger Li L9 is a six-seater flagship SUV that also accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. It features a dual-motor 4WD setup, delivering 449-PS and 620-Nm of torque, and is equipped with a 52.3-kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a CLTC-rated driving range of up to 1,412-kilometers. The vehicle includes a five-screen, three-dimensional interactive cockpit with integrated entertainment and driver assistance systems.
Two variants are available: L9 Pro and L9 Ultra. The L9 Pro features the Li Pilot Assistance AD Pro suite powered by Horizon Robotics chips and a single domain controller, while the L9 Ultra upgrades to AD Max, utilizing dual NVIDIA Orin X processors for enhanced autonomous driving capabilities. Both variants are equipped with a 128-line LiDAR, multiple high-definition cameras, and intelligent parking systems. Additional premium features include power footboards, a warmer/refrigerator, heated and ventilated seats with massage functions, and Magic Carpet air suspension for a smoother ride. Exterior color options are Golden Metallic, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Black Metallic, Deep Green (Special Edition Pearl), and Purple Light (Special Edition Pearl). Interior choices include Black & White, Black & Orange, and Black Sports. A 7kW AC wall box charger with free installation is available, along with a one-year insurance warranty and a suite of exclusive perks for early reservations.

Li Auto Philippines is also establishing support infrastructure to enhance customer experience, promising access to fast-charging stations, a robust inventory of spare parts for maintenance and repairs, and warranty programs to ensure long-term satisfaction.
Interested customers can view the Li L7 and Li L9 at SM Mall of Asia from April 4 to 10. A flagship showroom is set to open soon in Bonifacio Global City. While no pricing has been officially released for both vehicles, price ranges are established at around ₱4 to ₱5-million for the L7 models, and between ₱5 to ₱6-million for the L9 models.
Li Auto Philippines is entering the market at a time when Filipino consumers are increasingly aware of sustainable transport options. With an emphasis on luxury, long-range capability, and family-oriented design, the brand seeks to provide an alternative to traditional SUVs in the premium segment.
