JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith on their relationship: 'Masaya kami 'pag magkasama'

"PBB Gen 11" housemates Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra were put on the hot seat during a recent press conference.

Being one of local show business' rising love teams known as #JMFyang, the two former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemates have been known to openly display their closeness inside and outside the PBB house.

About their  "special relationship," JM said, "Syempre po, sa amin, ang focus talaga namin career at trabaho. As long as may pagpapahalaga at respeto sa isa’t isa sapat na po sa amin yun."

(Of course, for us, our focus is really on our career and work. As long as there is appreciation and respect for each other, that's enough for us)

Sharing different milestones and sweet moments together, fans can't help but wonder if there's something much deeper going on between them.

"Ang masasabi ko lang po ay pinahahalagahan namin ang isa't-isa, at masaya po kami tuwing magkasama po kami," Fyang related.

(All I can say is that we appreciate each other, and we are happy whenever we are together.)

Building rapport inside the PBB house, JM, and Fyang mentioned they are genuinely happy where they are at the moment in terms of their relationship.

"Masaya kami 'pag magkasama may work man o wala, masaya kami. Siguro the way magkasama kami everyday, doon po,” JM said.

(We are happy when we are together, whether there is work or not, we are happy. Maybe the way we are together every day, that's it)

"Sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya, doon nag-start maging comfortable sa isa’t isa. Nadala ko sa labas ng bahay at nagtuloy-tuloy po… Kahit wala kaming ginagawa basta magkasama kami," Fyang shared.

(We started to get comfortable with each other inside Kuya's house. I brought the same outside the house and it continued... Even when we aren't doing anything, as long as we are together)

The media teased JM if he would let another man court Fyang.

"Hindi po sila makakasingit," JM declared.

(They wouldn't be able to)

"Walang makakasingit. Bawal" Fyang added.

(No one can. It's forbidden.)

JM and Fyang were chosen as voice actors for the Tagalog-dubbed version of the 2024 South Korean drama film "Picnic." The project, produced by Lotte Entertainment and brought to local audiences by Nathan Studios, is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide this May.

Fyang shared her experience on the challenges of dubbing: "Kapag nagda-dub, kailangang pumasok sa ibang mundo... kami mismo ang nag-aadjust upang maipakita ang tamang emosyon nila (characters)."

(When dubbing, you have to enter another world... we adjust to show the right emotions need by the character)
 

On April 5, JM and Fyang will grace “The Unforgettabolabolabol” GENeral Assembly, together with the other PBB Gen 11 Housemates at the SM North Edsa Skydome.
