Jao Yago discovered a means to express his artistry at an early age through acting, which he describes as his love. He hopes to play more roles in films and television.

Yago was raised by supportive grandparents who introduced him to Fernando Poe Jr. 's (FPJ) films and opened his eyes to cinema. He also thanks his grandparents for teaching him essential values that he applies in his daily life.

When Yago told his parents that he wanted to be on TV, they moved him to Manila to pursue acting. He entered show business with the support of talent manager John Rey Malto.

Yago’s parents said they spotted his particular interest in acting when he was six. As a result, they enrolled him in various training courses such as singing, acting, modeling, and dancing to help him improve his skills.

The child actor has previously worked on several shows. He has participated in several GMA Network series, including "Black Rider," "Mga Batang Riles," and "Slay." He also portrayed the starring role of young April Boy Regino in a movie that focused on the late April Boy Regino's childhood. Additionally, he appeared in a Milo commercial.

In addition, he has appeared in ABS-CBN's teleserye “Bagman.” He continues to hone his craft by attending several programs, including the acclaimed Star Magic Acting Workshop. His efforts have been recognized, and he is one of the recipients of the Asian World Class Award.

(What I love most about acting is doing action scenes. I really idolize Ruru Madrid because I admire her acting skills, especially in her TV shows. One of my favorite things to watch right now is ‘Lolong)," he said.

(As a child full of dreams in the world of showbiz, I want to develop and improve as an actor and singer. I love what I do, that's why my parents are very supportive of my dream. They always accompany me in my training, workshops, and taping)," the child actor added.

Balancing education and a showbiz career is a big challenge for Yago, but he fully embraces both duties. He is confident that he will attain his goals with discipline, hard work, and dedication.

(For me, education is very important. So I make sure I don't neglect it. The world of showbiz is also important to me, so I do it with all my heart. I wake up early and make sure I arrive early for all my tapings.)

Upon leaving his grandparents in the province to pursue a showbiz career in Manila, he shared, “Lumaki ako sa aking lolo at lola sa Tabas, Bicol. Pinalaki nila akong may mabuting asal at may takot sa Diyos. (I grew up with my grandparents in Tabas, Bicol. They raised me with good manners and the fear of God. When I was still in the province, my father and I often watched TV. He idolized Fernando Poe Jr., and he used to say that he wanted to see me on TV one day. Because of his dream for me, my parents accompanied me to Manila to give me more opportunities in showbiz. It may be painful to leave my grandparents, but I am doing this not only for my own dream, but also to fulfill my father’s dream for me. Now, they are so happy because they can now watch me on TV.)"

Yago also thanked GMA for giving him opportunities to play various roles.

“No one knows my name yet, but GMA opened its doors for me, for which I am grateful. This is only the beginning, and I will work hard to become a well-known actor. Every artist I've worked with has guided me. I'm hoping to work with more Kapuso actors soon,” Yago said.

Aside from Ruru Madrid, Yago admires Primetime King Coco Martin, whom he hopes to meet and work with someday. Martin, he claims, is a role model for many budding stars not only because of his brilliance but also because of his compassion.

What an icon. (Kuya Coco is a great actor. Every time I watch ‘Batang Quiapo,’ I get a lot of acting techniques from him, especially in action scenes. Kuya Coco’s advocacy is also good, giving work to veteran artists, which is why he is so blessed. Kuya Coco is a big role model in showbiz. I hope I can meet him.)," he said.

When asked about his life mantra, he replied, “Laging gumawa ng mabuti sa kapwa, sapagkat ang kabutihan ay laging bumabalik bilang biyaya. (Always do good to others, because goodness always comes back as a blessing.)"
