Bam Aquino says job training should be included in schools' curriculum
Job training program should be integrate in schools to ensure that graduates can secure employment after graduation, senatorial candidate Bam Aquino said.
Aquino stressed that including job training in schools' curriculum would help college graduates in landing a job after graduation.
During his visit in a training center in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, Aquino learned that graduates need to undergo training for three months to improve their skills in their chosen field in order to secure a job.
“Ang sabi ko naman, bakit pa pagkatapos mag-graduate. Bakit hindi puwedeng integrated na sa ating mga eskuwelahan para sigurado na pag-graduate natin, may trabaho na agad-agad (I said, why does it have to be after graduation. Why not integrate it to schools to ensure that after graduation they can already get a job),” Aquino said during the South Negros Summit on Ethical Leadership.
“Ang pangarap po namin, pag-akyat niyo sa entablado, hindi lang diploma ang hawak ninyo, may job offer na rin (Our dream is that when you go up the stage, you're not only holding on to your diploma but also to a job offer)," Aquino added.
As one of those who pushed for the passage of Free College Education, Aquino wants to expand it and ensure that there is an ample fund for "libreng pabaon" if he is reelected in the Senate.
He also vowed to ensure employment to all Filipinos.
