Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, daughter of former president Cory Aquino and sister of former president Noynoy Aquino, made a market run in Tarlac City to campaign for her cousin Bam Aquino who is running for senator anew.
Aquino-Cruz went to Tarlac Public Market in Tarlac City to hand tarpaulins, stickers, and leaflets to voters. She also took the chance to engage sellers and market goers about the her cousin's platform.
"Bata pa lang si Bam, importante sa kanya ang edukasyon. Siya ay nagtrabaho nang maigi, nagtapos ng grade school, high school at college ng valedictorian. Nagtapos siya ng Summa Cum Laude at Management Engineering ang kanyang tinapos (Ever since Bam was young, education has been important to him. He worked hard and graduated as valedictorian in grade school, high school, and college. He finished his degree in Management Engineering with the honor of Summa Cum Laude," Aquino-Cruz said.
“Noong siya’y naging senador, pinagtrabaho niya na magkaroon tayo ng libreng edukasyon para sa mga gustong magpunta sa college. Marami pang maitutulong si Bam para sa ating lahat. Kaya sana po, ibalik natin siya sa Senado (When he became a senator, he worked on giving us free education for those who aim for college. Bam will be able to help more. So, I hope we can bring him back to the Senate),” she added.
During the market caucus, Aquino-Cruz was accompanied by the former senator's wife and sibling, Timi and PV, and other members of the Aquino family including their cousin Jackie Aquino, daughter of former senator Butz Aquino.
Prior to being a senator, Bam Aquino served as the mayor of Concepcion, Tarlac, and vice governor and governor of the province.
