AboitizPower receives local disaster resiliency commendation

AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), the geothermal subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, together with the Aboitiz Foundation, was recognized by the National Resiliency Council (NRC) as esteemed partners in its Adopt-a-Municipality project. In collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Office of Civil Defense, the project links the public and private sectors to partner in capacitating the disaster resilience of local government units. APRI and the Aboitiz Foundation adopted the local government of Tiwi, Albay in 2019, supporting and funding a multi-year program that saw risk assessments and mapping, capacity-building workshops, and other forms of technical assistance.
