"Our top priority is to prevent crimes and ensure public safety, especially in areas where people gather. We are intensifying our security coverage and assistance efforts to give the public a safe and worry-free summer season," PRO-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo said.
Fajardo said they are closely coordinating with government agencies, local government units, and advocacy groups.
Assistance hubs have been set up on major roads and the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) has deployed road safety marshals to manage traffic flow and prevent congestion.
Advocacy support groups and force multipliers are increasing police visibility through intensified patrols.
Among the major events in the region this summer with large crowds are town fiestas, the Day of Valor, and Flores de Mayo.
PRO-3 urged the public to stay alert and cooperate with security measures. "Keeping our communities safe is a shared responsibility. We call on the public to be our partners in maintaining peace and order so that everyone can enjoy a secure and memorable summer vacation," Fajardo said.
