Where to find Maison Mihara Yasuhiro's avant-garde streetwear

Suyen Corporation celebrates the talent of Japanese fashion designer Mihara Yasuhiro

Fresh from his judging stint at the Bench Design Awards (BDA) 2025, Japanese fashion designer Mihara Yasuhiro led a party at Studio Dimensione in Taguig City. What was he celebrating? The launch of a pop-up spotlighting his brand, Maison Mihara Yasuhiro. Not only did he bring his shoes and apparel—designed with an avant-garde approach—he also kept the party’s energy high by manning the DJ booth.

“It was six years ago when I first came here to the Philippines, before the pandemic. A lot of things have changed—the energy is younger,” the designer said in Japanese.

Mihara is known for his innovative, deconstructed approach to menswear and footwear, blending streetwear sensibility with high-concept fashion. Since launching his brand in 1997, he has continued to push creative boundaries. A testament to that are the pieces on display at the pop-up, such as the Double Sole Loafer, the Blakey Wrinkled Silver pair, the Peterson 23 Sputtering Paint sneakers, and the Duck Heel Puffer sandals—a crowd favorite.

Joining Mihara in leading the celebration were Ben Chan and Bryan Lim, Suyen Corporation’s CEO and vice president for business development, respectively.

“We are incredibly honored to welcome a true visionary known for his fearless style,” Bryan said. “It is a rare opportunity to have him here with us for this special pop-up.”

The Maison Mihara Yasuhiro pop-up runs until May 2 at Studio Dimensione. The brand’s pieces are also available at Assembly Rockwell.
