Valenzuela cops arrest man brandishing unlicensed firearm

According to the police report, officers received a report from a concerned citizen around 11:30 p.m. about a man displaying a firearm in public, causing alarm and fear among residents.
Responding immediately, personnel from the VCPS-Station Intelligence Section (SIS) found the suspect shouting while holding a caliber .45 pistol.
Confiscated from the suspect were the loaded .45 caliber pistol with two live rounds and a gray sling bag.
Police said the suspect failed to present a license for the firearm and did not have an exemption from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban currently in effect for the election period.
The suspect will face charges for violating Article 155 of the Revised Penal Code (Alarms and Scandals), Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition), and the Omnibus Election Code (B.P. 881).
