RCBC opens digital payroll portal

In a move that takes a step toward being digital, RCBC has launched their new Digital Payroll portal.

It also features same-day account opening and ATM card issuance for employees done digitally, which is, I have to say, one big headache off the table.

“We know that businesses need a fast and hassle-free way to set up payroll accounts,” RCBC Head of Transaction Banking Group Martin Tirol said. “With these new improvements, employees no longer have to wait for their ATM cards. They can open and start using their account right away. Our main goal is to make payroll onboarding more convenient and efficient for everyone.”

This is more than just a digital payroll portal, however. It also includes salary loans and free personal accident insurance when making transactions using RCBC Pulz, the bank’s own app.

“Pre-qualified” employees can also access salaries in advance through what RCBC calls PayDay NOW.

RCBC payroll account holder, employees withdraw without their ATM cards using a QR code or a reference number from RCBC ATMs. 7-Eleven, as a partner of RCBC, employees can also withdraw cash and check balance in their stores.
