On possible charge over arrest of ex-Pres Duterte: "Am not afraid' says DOJ Sec Remulla
Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin C. Remulla on Tuesday, April 29, said he is not afraid to be charged before the Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) over the arrest of former President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

Remulla told journalists: “It’s a welcome development. Hindi naman tayo natatakot d’yan (We are not scared of that).”
His statement was issued following the recommendations made by Sen. Imee Marcos who urged the OMB to investigate and prosecute Remulla and other government officials for the March 11 arrest of Duterte.
The recommendations were made after the Senator Marcos conducted Senate hearings on the arrest of the former President.
Duterte, who was arrested based on the warrant of arrest issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), is now detained in The Hague over alleged crimes against humanity in the extrajudicial killings during his war against illegal drugs.
“Ginawa namin ‘yung dapat gawin to our best judgment (We did what we had to do to our best judgment),” Remulla said.
“What’s good for the country is what we did,” he stressed.
