President Marcos said a latest survey showing that he remains the most trusted and approved government official in the country "validates" his administration's efforts within his term.

Marcos said it is validation that the people are "beginning to understand" what his administration has been doing in an attempt to uplift the lives of Filipinos.
"Well, it just validates that – what we are doing. That people are beginning to understand what we have been trying to do for the last two and a half – almost three years," Marcos said on Tuesday, April 29, when sought for a comment on the recent OCTA’s “Tugon ng Masa” survey.
According to the survey, 60 percent of adult Filipinos expressed trust in Marcos.
In terms of job performance, 59 percent of Filipinos said they were satisfied with the President’s work, a four-point decline from the 64 percent recorded in November 2024.
Marcos said the survey's result continues to inspire him as it shows that his leadership is making progress.
"So, it continues to inspire me because it shows that we are making progress. That’s always a – that’s always good to know," Marcos said.
He stressed that through this he is made aware that the people are seeing what the government is doing.
"Kung minsan hindi mo naman malaman kung nararamdaman ng tao yung inyong ginagawa at mabuti naman ay nakikita ng taong-bayan kung ano ‘yung ginagawa natin at paano makakatulong ito sa pampaganda sa kanilang mga buhay (Sometimes, you do not know if the people can feel what we are doing,an it's good that they are seeing what we are doing and how it helps in uplifting their lives)," Marcos said.
Despite being the most trusted and approved government official in the country at present, based on the survey that was conducted from April 2 to 5, the survey results actually showed a decline in his ratings.
The 60 percent of adult Filipinos who expressed trust in Marcos actually posted a five-point drop from 65 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024 while his approval rating suffered a four-point decline from the 64 percent recorded in November 2024.
