ILOILO CITY – The Medical City (TMC) Iloilo based in this city was recently awarded as Secondary Hospital of the Year by Healthcare Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

TMC Iloilo was the first hospital outside of Luzon awarded by Healthcare Asia, the leading industry group of Asia’s hospital owners, investors, administrators, and policy makers.

TMC Iloilo (formerly Great Saviour International Hospital) was awarded by Healthcare Asia as trailblazer in Western Visayas region as it celebrates its 15th anniversary.
TMC Iloilo is the sole acute stroke-ready hospital Tier 2 facility in Iloilo. It is likewise the only hospital in Iloilo that can perform thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy for stroke patients.
The hospital is also known as the “Heart Care Capital of Western Visayas” with its Cardiac Care Rehabilitation Program designed to accelerate recovery of patients who undergo cardiovascular procedures.
