5 illegal gambling men yield shabu in Rizal

Members of the Taytay Municipal Police Station arrested five suspects for illegal gambling and possession of illegal drugs in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal on Tuesday, April 29.

The authorities identified the suspects as "Kitot," 43, "Pelo," 31, "Loloy," 28, a high-value individual (HVI), "Kukoy," 26, and "Dugong," 25.

Based on the police report, the suspects were caught in the act playing “Cara y Cruz” while the operatives were conducting anti-illegal gambling patrol in the area.

The suspects were also found to be in possession of illegal drugs worth P102,000.

The five are currently detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility and are facing charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and PD 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling). (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
