CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – The Police Regional Office-1 (Ilocos) on Tuesday deployed 193 policemen for election duty in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

A send-off Mass and ceremony were held for them at the PRO-1 auditorium in this camp. They will serve as Special Electoral Board during the elections.
The ceremony was spearheaded by PRO-1 Director Police Brig. Gen. Lou Evangelista and Reddy C. Balarbar, Commission on Elections-Ilocos director.
Evangelista stressed the significance of the mission to the contingent.
"This deployment is a direct exercise of your sworn duty and presents a valuable opportunity for learning that will undoubtedly develop your skills and hone your professionalism," Evangelista said.
He reminded them to uphold the integrity of the Philippine National Police (PNP), respect human rights, maintain vigilance, and always act with courtesy and professionalism.
