Trabaho Party-list is using its social media reels for a noble cause by featuring voters' education as content, even as the May 12 mid-term elections are right around the corner.
In reels-based voter’s guide, Filipinos are given general reminders on how to properly cast their votes for the party-list race.
The most important tip is that every voter must not vote for more than one party-list. This is because the votes will not be counted and therefore get wasted if the one party-list rule is not followed.
Furthermore, if a voter would like to support their pro-worker platform, a step-by-step guide on how to look for 106 Trabaho on the ballot plus a visual guide provided by the Comission on Elections (Comelec), was illustrated.
Trabaho Party-list said the daily voter's education reels will remind Filipinos to vote wisely. It will underscore the importance of being informed--not only about where and how to vote--but also about who and what policies voters are supporting.
The group emphasized the importance of selecting a party-list focused on representing genuine advocacies and sectors. In Trabaho's case, it's all about job creation, improved workers benefits, protection, and rights, and other pro-worker policies.
"Voting is not just a right, it's a responsibility," said Trabaho spokesperson lawyer Mitchell-David Espiritu.
"By ensuring they are registered and know their precincts, Filipinos can better participate in shaping a government that truly represents the people, especially the working class," he added.
Trabaho also continues to engage with communities through forums, community programs, and social media campaigns aimed at promoting voter education and labor empowerment.
Composed of diverse workers and professionals bound by shared principles, the group promised to legislate and to voice out in Congress the need for sustainable employment opportunities, equitable wages, and enhanced worker protections.
