LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Sorsogon Provincial Police Office deployed personnel to assist and provide aid to residents affected by the eruption of Bulusan Volcano on Monday.

The Police Regional Office-5 headed by Police Brig. Gen. Andre P. Dizon, through the Sorsogon PPO under Police Col. Alex C. Daniel, mobilized teams to affected areas. Three additional teams composed of 33 personnel are standby and ready for deployment as needed.
“The PNP-Bicol continues to work in close coordination with local Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (MDRRMCs) to assess the situation, monitor affected areas, and provide immediate relief to impacted residents. In response to the eruption, the PNP has already implemented measures, including crowd control and traffic management, to ensure public safety and order,” the Sorsogon PPO said.
No casualties have been recorded from the eruption as of press time.
“PNP-Bicol, in collaboration with the local government unit of Sorsogon, is closely monitoring developments and urges the public to remain calm, stay vigilant, and follow official advisories,” PRO-5 said.
