Quezon City residents were urged to wear face masks on Monday, April 28, due to the “unhealthy” air quality in the city.
According to the latest Air Quality Index (AQI) released by the city government, parts of the city have “unhealthy” and “very unhealthy” air quality.

These are the places with “Unhealthy” AQI:
- P. Dela Cruz Street
- Novaliches Wet and Dry Market
- Korphil Quezon City University
- Pearl Drive Footbridge
- Payatas Super Health Center
- Barangay Sauyo Baluyot Satellite Hall
- Jose Rizal High School
- FEU Diliman
- Quirino Highway cor. Mindanao Ave
- Tandang Sora Barangay Hall footbridge
The following places are under “very unhealthy” AQI:
- Susana Road
- Maligaya Elementary School
- Kaligayahan Elementary School
- Large High School
- Payatas Controlled Disposal Facility
Residents who have respiratory illnesses like asthma are advised to stay indoors and wear face masks when going out.
The local government will continuously monitor the AQI to ensure the safety of QCitizens.
