Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine National Police (PNP) seized around P75 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two people in a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City on Sunday night, April 27.
Police Col. Rolando Cuya, director of the PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), said the buy-bust was carried out at around 8 p.m. on Sunday in Barangay Amparo in North Caloocan after his men was able to negotiate with two suspected drug dealers for the purchase of a large quantity of shabu.
He said the arrested suspects are considered as high-value targets in Metro Manila.
The arrest was announced after the two suspects accepted the money in exchange for shabu.
Seized from them were 11 kilos of suspected shabu with a street value of P74.8 million and Cuya said they will be turned over to the Northern Police District, Crime Laboratory for laboratory examination.
The arrested suspects, on the other hand, are now under their custody and facing drug charges.
