Fires raze storage facility in QC, warehouse in Caloocan, houses in Muntinlupa

An abandoned storage facility in Quezon City, a warehouse in Caloocan City, and six houses in Muntinlupa City were razed by fires on Monday morning, April 28.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire at South Bound Sector 5, Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City was raised to the 1st alarm at 5:32 a.m. and escalated to the 2nd alarm at 5:33 a.m.
The blaze was declared under control at 6:10 a.m. and was extinguished at 6:40 a.m.
No injuries were reported in the fire and arson investigators are still probing the cause of the fire and the estimated damage to property it caused.
Meanwhile, six houses were destroyed in a fire that hit Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa also on Monday, April 28.
The Muntinlupa City Fire Station reported that the fire started at about 7:23 a.m. in Purok 3, Harmony Ville in Cupang.
The fire station declared a fire out upon arrival at 7:30 a.m. Investigators estimated that the fire caused P20,000 in damages.
It affected six houses with six families or about 30 individuals. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
A total of 14 fire trucks, a rescue vehicle, and three ambulances responded to the incident.
A fire also hit a warehouse along Tanigue St., Samatad, Brgy 14, Caloocan City, on Monday, April 28.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the blaze started at 12:24 p.m. and quickly escalated to the second alarm at 12:29 p.m.
Firefighters were able to put the fire under control at 12:40 p.m., and it was extinguished at 12:50 p.m.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and have yet to determine the total amount of property damage.
