Driver found dead inside car in QC

A Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) driver was found dead inside his car parked on the Southbound lane of Miriam Defensor Santiago Avenue in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City on Monday, April 28.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the 61-year-old man was found lifeless around 6:00 a.m. by another TNVS driver.

Based on the initial investigation, the witness saw the man unconscious inside a metallic green sedan and immediately sought help from security guards in the area and then reported the incident to the police.

No signs of external injuries were found on the body.

His remains will be subjected to autopsy examination to determine the cause of his death.

QCPD officer-in-charge Police Col. Randy Glenn Silva said they will still investigate the incident.

"Patuloy ang malalim na imbestigasyon ng QCPD upang matukoy ang tunay na dahilan ng pagkamatay ng biktima at upang malaman kung may iba pang indibidwal na may kinalaman sa insidente (The QCPD is continuing its in-depth investigation to determine the real cause of the victim's death and to find out if there are other individuals involved in the incident),” he said.
