A Chinese national who attempted to deliver a parcel of shabu worth P 372,640 was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police MOA Substation on Sunday, April 27.
Col. Joselito De Sesto, Pasay City Police chief, identified the suspect as alias “Chao Meng.” He was arrested at 2Go Express located at SM Mall of Asia Building, Marina Way corner Seashell Lane MOA Complex, Pasay City.
De Sesto said a report was made by an employee identified as alias “Jo” after noticing an unusual bulge inside a red folder parcel bound for China addressed to a certain Sun Qingzi.
He said personnel of the MOA Substation discovered the 54.8 grams of shabu worth 3P72,640 concealed inside the parcel, leading to the suspect's arrest.
The suspect was brought to the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and charged with illegal possession of drugs.
