Malabon gov't holds disaster training to prepare for calamities

The city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), led the activity.
Participants included personnel from the Malabon City Police Station (MCPS), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Malabon, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Valenzuela City DRRMO.
The intensive training provided participants with essential knowledge and hands-on experience in responding to earthquake and landslide emergencies. It featured lectures, practical exercises, and simulated rescue operations to enhance skills for real-life disaster situations.
MMDA personnel also shared best practices, insights, and technical expertise, reinforcing their commitment to strengthening disaster response across Metro Manila.
The city government also emphasized the importance of such programs in ensuring that responders are fully prepared to take immediate action during emergencies.
The training is part of the city’s ongoing effort to build a stronger, safer, and more prepared community.
