CIDG seizes P4.2-M worth of beauty products, arrests 3 foreigners in Malabon entrapment

Three Chinese and their alleged Filipino cohort were arrested for allegedly selling unregistered beauty products in an entrapment operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Malabon City.

CIDG director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said those arrested in the operation on April 22 in Barangay Maysilo were officials and employees of the Sannyou Packaging Services.

He said the operation stemmed from confirmed intelligence reports about the suspects selling skin care and other beauty products.

Seized during the operation were 30 boxes of acne spot serum worth P4,275,000.00 and sale receipts.

“We prevented the sale and trade of these alleged unregistered beauty products, thereby, we prevented the health problem they may cause to our kababayan,” said Torre.

He said appropriate criminal charges were filed against the arrested suspects.
