For years, Bench Fashion Week (BFW) has not only been a hotspot for must-wear styles, but it has also become a platform for budding fashion creatives and brands to reach the next level, and for seasoned designers to present their latest collections. That mission continued in its latest edition, where the BFW runway transformed into a stage for inclusivity, sustainable fashion, and world-class design. Here are some of the collections that made BFW Spring-Summer 2025 a true Filipino fashion spectacle.

Filipina model Ria Bolivar shifts to design as she launches her collection for her brand, Reveri. The Iloilo-based brand focuses on handcrafted garments, clothing sustainability, and relaxed elegance. What she sent down the runway were crocheted pieces made of cotton and piña, echoing the beauty of the countryside. The 15-piece collection featured geometric patterns, 3D floral details, and fringe, all in sun-washed and earthy tones.

For its latest runway presentation, streetwear brand Human partnered with Vico Cham, a proud creative on the autism spectrum. Dubbed “A Mind Like A Garden,” the collection became a canvas for the artist’s paintings, merging edgy contemporary style with the joy of self-expression. Gracing the runway were pieces adorned with illustrations of flowers, fishes, and faces, paired with bold plaids, modern denim, and striped aesthetics.

Maligaya Clothing Co.'s Roko Arceo looked at Filipino symbols and the works of Filipino artists Ang Kiukok and Vicente Manansala to create his “Maligayang Mundo” collection. The result? A tropical line that is fresh, vibrant, and sure to make anyone smile. There is whimsy in the way he played with colors and shapes in his crocheted pieces. The patchworked designs are fun and imaginative, depicting fruits and scenes of paradise.

‘Birds of Prey’

‘Birds of Prey’
Dark romance took flight at Bench Fashion Week through the avant-garde collection of noted Filipino designer Furne Amato. Titled “Birds of Prey,” the collection chronicles the designer’s return to his hometown in Cebu. For Furne, the dramatic avian-inspired looks symbolize strength, transformation, and coming home. But they also told a story of bravery—of taking a leap to soar high.

Rounding up this list is the showcase of “Bench Club.” The collection brought campus cool to the catwalk with preppy pieces inspired by the energy of student life. Making the runway a true celebration of youth style were P-pop groups Hori7on and G22, as well as ambassadors Kira Balinger and Robbie Jaworski. “Bench Club” is an invitation for the young to chase their dreams.
