Informal settlers in Taytay, Rizal and flood-affected communities in Cainta, Rizal have sought the assistance of Sen. Imee Marcos in finding ways to solve their longstanding problems in their respective localities.
During a dialogue with some 200 leaders and representatives of the 24 homeowners associations at Lupang Arenda in Taytay, Rizal, recently, Senator Marcos personally heard the clamor of the residents regarding the status of the property where their houses stand.

The Lupang Arenda residents have been waiting for the national government’s move to declare the residential community in Taytay as a socialized housing site, a move that may pave the way for their safe, orderly and legal stay in the area, which they have been occupying for some 30 years now.
The presidential sister assured the residents that she will push her Senate Resolution No. 900 that calls for an investigation as to why the proclamation for the declaration of a social housing site in their area has not yet been issued.

"Panahon na para sa malinaw na aksyon. Tama na ang 30 taon (It's time for a clear action. Thirty years is enough)," Marcos told the residents during the dialoque with the residents.
Sen. Imee also urged the concerned government agencies to submit the necessary assessment on the status of the property so that the proclamation could push through.
In Cainta, local leaders and officials led by Mayor Elen Nieto welcome Sen. Imee during a brief stop at the municipal hall, where the latter was briefed on how the national legislation could help the town in alleviating the flooding problem and the continuing increase in prices of basic goods in the country.
