CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – The Police Regional Office 4-A has called on all candidates and their supporters to be calm and conduct a peaceful campaign in the remaining days before the elections.

PRO 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said they will continue to take steps to ensure the safety of the people during the elections in accordance with the Omnibus Election Code (Republic Act No. 8436) and Commission on Elections Resolution No. 11067 (Prohibition of Firearms and Deadly Weapons) during the elections.
"We are committed to enforcing the law with justice and without hesitation to maintain order in our region especially this election season," Lucas said on Saturday, April 26.
The PRO 4-A appealed a day after three persons, including a candidate for councilor, were shot and wounded on Friday, April 25 in Barangay Bungad, San Pablo town, Isabela province.
Two days earlier on Wednesday, April 23, a reelectionist mayor was gunned down while campaigning in Barangay Illuru Sur, Rizal, Cagayan.
