DAGUPAN CITY – The Gilon-Gilon street-dancing competition of the Bangus Festival was held here on Saturday amid the searing heat that reached a heat index of 45 degrees Celsius.

SM Center Dagupan served as the official judging and scoring venue for the much-anticipated cultural competition.
The mall became the center of energy, celebration, and cultural pride as cultural dancers performed in front of a packed crowd at the main entrance.
Judges were Joshua Isidera, Culture and Arts Officer II for the National Committees on Dance and Cinema of the National Commission for Culture and Arts, Jules Bonnevie of the NCAA Sayaw Pinoy National Dance Competition and Touring Dance Performances, and Peter de Vera, a member of the World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific and Sacred Dance Guild of America.
Six clusters from different barangays competed and the audience were amazed by their performances.
Mayor Belen Fernandez here and Pangasinan Rep. Christopher de Venecia also participated in the street-dancing parade.
