That commitment to providing better health

At the formal ribbon cutting of the Makati Life Medical Center

Makati Health Medical Center is the rising star in Philippine Healthcare; and stands as a wonderful example of ‘potential realized’ within the sphere of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). Just the other day, on April 24, Makati Life had its official Blessing and Opening, and it was an eye-opener for the media and public who were viewing the medical facility for their very first time. And do keep in mind that while this was the formal opening, the medical center has already served over 387,000 patients during its soft opening phase; has 583 doctors attached to the establishment, and can boast of 535 employees.

In fact, at the recently held 2025 Healthcare Asia Awards, this ‘infant’ of a medical facility won the ‘Integrated Healthcare Provider of the Year - Philippines’. Held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the MLMC reaped top honors for its unprecedented integration of a comprehensive primary care system within a hospital setting, and for its pioneering PPP with the City Government of Makati - bridging private sector efficiency with public sector accessibility and reach. Life Nurture Inc. is the private operator/partner, and as Dr. Dennis Sta Ana, MLMC President and CEO is proud to say, “We don’t draw lines between government-sponsored and private patients. Everyone receives the same dignity in care, no matter how they pay. This model proves that it is possible to build a healthcare system that is both inclusive and world-class.”

For Mayor Abby Binay, MLMC is founded on the principle of sustainable delivery of innovative and inclusive healthcare solutions to the community. And concurring to this bold vision is MLMC Chairman Dr. Andrew Prieto. You couldn’t help but notice the glint and pride in their eyes as they toured and inspected the establishment, seeing what was a harbored dream and vision, now stand as an imposing physical structure and impressive reality.
