Health, wellness caravan continues to roll in Las Piñas City

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the health and wellness caravan of the city government will continue to visit residents who have no access to regular health services.

Aguilar said the caravan project, led by the City Health Office (CHO) under Dra. Julie Gonzalez, will continue to go around the city’s 20 barangays to ensure that all Las Piñeros will receive free medical services.

She said the CHO served more than 400 residents at the Green Valley covered court in Manuyo Dos last April 21.

The mayor said the services offered during the caravan were medical consultations, blood pressure checks, cholesterol and blood sugar testing, ECG, X-ray, dental services, and pneumococcal vaccination for senior citizens.

Residents also had access to nutrition counseling, Green Card help desks, mobile birth registration, and PhilHealth registration.

Gonzalez emphasized the importance of the wellness caravans in strengthening preventive care and bringing government health programs closer to the community.

She noted that initiatives like this help identify health risks early and provide timely intervention to residents who may not have regular access to medical services.
