2 men nabbed for multiple crimes in Makati

Two individuals, including a 17-year-old teenager, were arrested by the Makati City Police for multiple crimes in Barangay San Antonio, Makati City on Tuesday, April 22.

The police identified the suspects as "Mario," 20, and "AAA," 17.

Based on the police report, the Station Intelligence Section (SIS) and Tactical Motorcycle Riders Unit (TMRU) received a call from a 33-year-old female housekeeper from Barangay Tejeros who got robbed by two male robbers in the area riding a gray Honda Civic with no rear plate number.

The victim said the suspects suddenly stopped and pointed a gun at her as they demanded her to give them her cellphone.

Responding police officers apprehended the suspects along Yakal Street.

Police recovered a caliber .45 pistol with a loaded magazine, a hand grenade, a pink iPhone 16, and a Samsung A14 mobile phone from the two.

Further investigation revealed that Mario has a pending Warrant of Arrest for theft under Article 308, in relation to Article 309 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC), issued by the Municipal Trial Court (MTC) Branch 74 of Taguig City on Feb. 24, 2025.

The suspects also admitted their involvement in several robbery incidents targeting mostly Japanese and Chinese nationals in Makati, Pasay, and Parañaque. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
