Senior citizen, 2 others nabbed in Makati buy-bust

Three drug suspects, including a 70-year-old man, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Valenzuela, Makati City, on Tuesday, April 22.

The Makati City Police Station-Drug Enforcement Unit (Makati CPS-SDEU) identified the old man as “Daydo." The two others were identified as “Angelo” and “Joboy,” both 29.

Authorities seized 14 sachets of shabu weighing around 15 grams and valued at P102,000 during the operation on Pateros Street.

The suspects are currently detained at the Makati CPS and face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Southern Police District (SPD) Acting District Director (ADD) Brig. Gen. Joseph R. Arguelles commended the successful operation.

“This is yet another step forward in our relentless drive against illegal drugs. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of our communities," Arguelles said. (Vincent Brian Gutierrez)
