SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga--Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign manager Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco hailed the "strong support" and "encouraging energy" that the administration "senatoriables" were showered with here Wednesday, April 23.
“This is a strong show of support. Kapampangans turned out in large numbers, and the energy on the ground was truly encouraging,” Tiangco said a few hours removed from Alyansa’s sortie at the jam-packed Bren Guiao Convention Center.
The highlight of the event was the Pineda political clan's endorsement of the 11 Alyansa bets less than three weeks before the May 12 mid-term elections.
Showing up with their full political machinery to express their support for the administration bets were Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda.
Tiangco said the turnout and unified backing of Pampanga officials reflect the growing momentum of the coalition as the campaign enters its final stretch.
“We thank Governor Delta, Vice Governor Nanay Baby, and all our Kapampangan leaders for standing strong with Alyansa,” he added.
The Alyansa slate is composed of former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III; former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary Benhur Abalos; former Senators Panfilo Lacson, Manny Pacquiao; Senators Pia Cayetano, Lito Lapid, Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Francis Tolentino; Makati City Mayor Abby Binay; House Deputy Speaker Las Piñas City lone district Rep. Camille Villar; and House Deputy Majority Leader ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo.
The slate was welcomed in three other major venues here: the Lapid Arena Sports Complex in Angeles City, and the Laus Events Center, and Kingsborough International Convention Center.

Mayors and other local officials from all 19 towns, the highly urbanized city of Angeles, and the component cities of San Fernando and Mabalacat were strategically grouped across the four venues.
Senator Lapid, a native of Porac and former governor of Pampanga, was greeted with the loudest applause here from fellow Kapampangans. This reflected Lapid's enduring popularity and deep local roots.
With 1.67 million registered voters and a voter turnout of nearly 87 percent in 2022, Pampanga remains a formidable political force in national elections.
“Alyansa is ready to fight for every vote and win alongside the Filipino people. This is not just about winning seats, it’s about building a Senate that delivers,” Tiangco stressed.

Thank you, Pampanga
Villar expressed gratitude for the reiteration of support coming from Govenor Pineda and Vice Governor Pineda during the campaign sorties in the province on Wednesday. Pampanga 4th district Rep. Anna York Bondoc-Sagum also endorsed Villar to her fellow Cabalen.
Also thanking the Pampanga leaders for their support was Binay.
In her speeches during the sorties, Binay laid out her key advocacies in the Senate, including free maintenance medicines especially for senior citizens, enhanced day care program, and tax-exempt overtime pay, 13th month and other bonuses of workers. She underscored the importance of focusing on early childhood education.
Gaining a glowing endorsement from Vice Governor Pineda was Tulfo, the erstwhile survey topnotcher.
“Erwin Tulfo is the number one Senator in Pampanga because he has always been supportive of the province—from his time as secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) up to now. Kapampangans will support him as he seeks a Senate seat,” the lady official stated.
“Among all the provinces I have been to, only Pampanga has given me this kind of warm welcome. So thank you so much for your support—for me and for the entire Alyansa slate,” Tulfo said.
